A set of basic smilies have been added to the forum. Click 'Add Reply', then drop down smilie list and select 'Smilies 2'. NOTE: You may have to select 'View more Emoticons' before the 'Smilies 2' category is displayed.
When you see 'Smilies 2' from the drop down list, press OK and you will see the smilies and be able to use them.

Quick Reply function doesn't as yet have all icons. It has the basic ones needed to post a quick reply hence the reason it being called 'Quick Reply'.
You can click on the little clear bars and do it that way, but there's no telling of what they are unless you select them. I will be looking to add a Smiley
icon to that, but seeing as it is quick reply it isn't an urgent need at the minute. I'm sure a lot of you know most of the smilies off by heart anyway.
EDITED: The Thanks button only appears for the user who created the thread. You can then thank a poster who replies to your thread. This could come in
especially handy if it's a thread asking for advice. Once you've thanked a poster, the poster's post will turn green and the 'Thanks' button will turn grey
and you won't be able to select it again. If you're posting in a thread that you didn't create then you won't see the 'thanks' button at all. You'll know if you've been thanked
as your post will be highlighted green.
