Anyone like to have a flutter on the football during the weekends? I find it adds excitement to the games themselves plus you can earn a bit if you place the right bets on. Won 150 this weekend on them. Not bad, right, and that wasn't betting crazy money - just a bit of fun.

I've never really bet money.

I remember going to Butlins when I was younger and going in the arcade.

I'd won lots of coins and was really proud of myself, but I was stupid and decided to keep going and lost all of it. http://smileys.on-my

It's all about knowing when to stop, but once you've won some you want more.

Greed, it's an awful thing.

It's nothing to do with greed really... just a bit of fun.

Yes, for some, maybe.

A mixture of fun and greed.

Some people can't stop themselves and have to be greedy then end up losing it all.

I'd say greed has a massive amount to do with gambling, imo.

Hmm, I don't really think so..... I just think it's the buzz of putting a bit of money on a result. Adds to the excitement.

Then I think you're a bit mistaken.

It's very addictive and greed can and does take over.

Not for all, but I think greed is definitely involved in gambling.

Ah, it's all relative really. I mean is it more greedy than people who hike up prices on houses or con people into buying pieces of junk for huge profits? People who play with others live savings for their own material gain? Nah, it's not.... it's just a bit of fun and in the end you're using and more than likely losing your own money.

Everyone would ideally like to sell their house for more, or sell a piece of shit to make more money.

If someone wins a lot of money on gambling/betting then they might put the money they've won on another bet, hence being greedy.

Do you know what I mean?

Of course I do, but in reality it's their money that they're playing with. It's not like they're stealing off others, you know?

Very true, but just the point I'm making.

I think it does involve greed because once you get going you can't stop. Not the case with everyone.

Yeah, usually. I'd put the odd bet on BB, I'm a celeb or the Oscars too.
