Repeated viewings...

What flicks can you stick on regardless of how many times you've seen them in the past?
My first nomination is the Lethal Weapon series. Yes, they're pretty rubbish - well, not the first and second ones - but I always enjoy watching them again and again because of the obvious friendship the cast and crew have towards one another.

My next one is Jaws, purely because I think it's one of the greatest films ever made, which combines every genre in one: drama, action, thriller, horror etc. A brilliantly made film... you know how brilliant it is? I forget that the shark looks like sh$t. Masterpiece, and this was a young Spielberg experimenting with the medium. Beautiful. Hitchcock would've been proud.

I find Jaws crap.

Lethal Weapon is in no mean 'rubbish' in my opinion.

I'm not one to watch films or anything repeatedly. Normally watch it once and that's it.

I always look to watch new films as it's more exciting.

I can watch Red Eye repeatedly though. Something about the film that I really like. Titanic is another one.

I'm a total film buff so don't ask me how many times I've watched flicks. It's disgraceful really - should be doing something more constructive with my time! I mentioned Jaws there.... don't ask me how many times I've watched it cuz I haven't got a clue.

I think films can be constructive. If you enjoy it then it doesn't matter.

Films are educational. You can learn a lot through a film.

I'm not sure about that..... they're bubble gum for the mind. I mean the majority, but they serve a purpose. Imagine not having them? It's like conversations with people to me: most are trivial, but once in awhile you talk to somebody with an aura who actually inspires you. That's how I think about any art form.

And the ability to converse is an artform, that it lost online really.

Talking of art, I was thinking of heading into The Works a few days a go to pick up some cheap Acrylic paints and that.

Try my hand at painting. See how it goes.

I think I will definitely get around to doing it. I'm going with the mind set of free painting. Not thinking too much about it, to start with anyway, and then see how I go.

All I'll say is it's like cooking.... if you don't know the basics you're screwed. So yeah, you need to learn about your medium more... paints, canvasses, colours, composition. You're in trouble if you don't have a natural eye or the right materials for the endeavour. But art is art... I've always thought that. If you make something beautiful I'll be the first to acknowledge it

If you're a Trekker like me, this film you watch at least once a year. It's the most perfect film ever...... it makes Shatner look cool.... no sorry, cooler.

Star Trek, the wrath of khan there

I love them all... can watch them again and again.

Crap film, but I love it. Just one of those flicks you can watch again and again because it just wants to entertain you, and the cinematography is lovely. Oh, and Val Kilmer is amazing as Doc Holliday.

James Horner has been given so many awards in his career - unfairly if you ask me! - but this was him as a young composer trying to make his name. All the signatures of his boring makeup are here, but this found him young and fresh. It's beautiful.

Eh, spotted another one. Any film with Steve Martin. Well, not any, but a high proportion of them are re-watchable. Watched Housesitter there now for about the 100th time. Terrible but warm hearted film.

Unbreakable. Watched it again recently and still believe it's one of the most underrated flicks of the last 10 or so years. Fantastic film, with a great performance from Bruce Willis.

The Abyss. A great film in my eyes because it immerses you in another world! It's a lovely film and possibly Cameron's best film. He made Avatar, which is shi$e.

I've read all the the Fleming Bond's, and I still think that Dalton is the greatest representation of Bond. I also thin this is one of the great songs for Bond, apart from Goldfinger obviously. And Living Daylights is one of the greatest Bond flicks ever.
