Have you ever been apart of a group of people who solidify their own opinions by marrying them with others, in an attempt to gain status or to just merely bully? Others do it to feel valuable or untouchable and watch while others are attacked without saying a word, even if the majority of their being believes it to be wrong. I've never understood the whole dynamic seeing as I've always fought against it. So yeah, it kinda baffles me.

So, have any of you been involved in one or resisted them or viewed them from afar?

Some people just want to be in with the crowd and feel the need to bully or do whatever to gain that acceptance.

Maybe one would do it if they didn't have any friends?

I think a lot of people might not like to speak up against something that is wrong in case others who are part of this gang turn against them.

Like a popular kid or someone that many people like.

I'm friends with people, but I'd still turn round to them and tell them they're out of order if they are.

I don't think some would and instead keep quiet through fear of being turned on.

That's what it boils down to really: fear of being on their own and an element of cowardice really. Easy to attack someone if you have a gang of sycophants and influential people to back you up. I get tired even thinking of people like that, but the problem is it happens all the time.

Seems to happen most places these days.

It's hard to avoid in any place of life.

No one should have to accept it.

Unfortunately, if it's a 'gang' then it can be hard.

Some people are weak and I think gangs are good at picking on the weak. They're bullies so they'll go for the vulnerable.

If one could stand up to these bullies then it wouldn't be as much of a problem, if at all.

    It's a hard one James.

I remember when I went into the work place full time, I was bullied.

By this one girl and this other man who I worked with. She'd call me the green giant and constantly make nasty remarks about me.

I had enough one day so instead of biting my tongue said something rather nasty, but she couldn't take it.

She could give it out, but not take it back. http://www.thisisbig

That's always the way with them. Easy to waffle and torment someone when you have a gang behind you, but take them aside and tell them they're full of sh it and they quiver. It's always the same.

That's why I hate the internet lol. Some people I would love to meet in real life to be honest with you.

People can be nasty behind a screen because they know they'll get away with it.

Not so sure people would do it in real life.

Of course they wouldn't. Can you imagine it? Can you imagine me or you going over to one of them and asking them to say what they have said to us in our faces? It would be hilarious. On their own with no back up. I'd laugh in their faces, seriously.

I'm not really a confrontational person so if someone did say to me and they have before, with nasty comments, then I'd try my best to ignore it.

It's hurtful though, but I suppose they must gain something from doing it.

I'm not confrontational at all, but if somebody is acting the prat I would take them aside and ask them why. It doesn't happen that often with me in real life because I'm a fairly decent chap who doesn't get involved in crap and is liked by the majority of people. But yeah, when it concerns the internet and what has happened to me: I'd love it.

Yeah. Well you'll never meet people online who you don't want to so it doesn't matter.

You don't need to concern yourself with that, do you know what I mean?
