It sounds like your having a tough time in scotland, How long ago did you move away? Have you considered having hypnosis for your confidence? it can work wonders and neednt be expensive. You will be able to find a therapist thats just recently qualifed who will be building up experience. (you might even get it for free) You will see the difference after one session.

Never heard back from The Carphone Warehouse and I haven't looked for anything else.

On the plus, a lady I work with in my current job may need some shifts covering over the school holidays so extra money.
