Best composer for film ever? I mean, there's a few other standouts but I'm not sure. More varied artists out there, but if you want something sensual and meaningful you can't go far wrong with this man. So cinematic.

Dick Gaughan was born in Scotland but he also feels something for Ireland too, in much the same way that most Scots and Irish feel like we're all brethren. Celtic blood and all of that.

Wow, just after listening to that track again in full for the first time in ages and yeah, you can take your Dylan's etc - for me he's the true great. Magic music. So happy that I saw him live once.

Still reminds me of being a lounge boy and then becoming bar staff, and how wild it all was. I mean wild! But yeah, it's still a great track.

This is from their best album, because Damon was writing about his own hurt. And yeah, they're better than Oasis, but Pulp are the best outta them all, even though they didn't sustain their career for as long.
